Revolution Muay Thai - Sunshine Coast is owned by head coach, Carl Drapper. A seasoned martial artist with over three decades of experience and a rich history in Muay Thai and MMA. Carl’s journey began under the mentorship of Mick Nicholls and Ricky O'Brien in Freestyle Combat, where he earned his 2nd-degree black belt. His training exposed him to some of the world's best martial artists, including Guru Dan Inosanto, Larry Hartsell, Erik Paulson, Tony Blaurer, and Nino Pillar, giving him a broad and diverse martial arts foundation.
In 1994, Carl had the opportunity to fight in Thailand for the World Muay Thai Council (WMC), which led him relocate to Bangkok, Thailand, to work directly for the World Muay Thai Council (WMC), managing its international office, coordinating the IFMA World Championships, and overseeing the WMC camp in Koh Samui alongside Mr. Stephan Fox, the WMC General Secretary. Training with legends like Nokweed Davy, Paul 'The Sting' Slowinski, Bruce 'The Preacher' MacFie, and Alex Dally, Carl built lasting relationships with top fighters and trainers worldwide.
